I was asked to write an article for an Italian monthly journal " Il Giornale Italiano" which is publishing in Geneva. I decided to revise my article about Swiss education which was now published in the April issue. I was very grateful for this opportunity as the Italian community is very important to me.

I think you will be curious: "Is Swiss education really good? It´s a good question, but I think that there cannot be just one right answer. Especially because there is not just one school system in Switzerland! Every canton has its own school system and different minimum age.

A lot of people who want to come to live in Geneva see only the high salaries, but not everybody asks what the real cost of living is here!

I have already written about how and where to find an apartment in Geneva. However, the real fun comes when you like one and you want to get it. But before I start, I have to explain that almost all of the flats here are administered by "regies", real estate agencies, which represent the landlord (SPG, Naef, Grange & Cie,...

Geneva is the city that hosts the highest number of international organizations in the world! There are so many organizations that they have an entire quarter just for them, which is called Nations and it is home to about 20 big international organizations and hundreds of NGOs and embassies.

When I arrived in Geneva and for the first time, I took a 10-franc banknote in my hand, I noticed that there were four different descriptions on it - Zehn Franken, Dix Francs, Dieci Franchi and Diechs Francs!

When we came to Geneva, we didn´t have any apartment as normally you have to be in place for visits. And in the beginning, we stayed in different Airbnb flats. Oh dear, from that moment on I hate that platform. Waiting 24 hours for confirmation? Really?! Then you receive a negative answer (without explanation), and you start again...
